DPEP TECHNOLOGY & DIGITAL


Job Overview


Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP) Technology & Digital, a division of The Walt Disney Company, creates world-class websites, mobile applications and digital experiences for Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and more. In addition, we support Disney Signature Experiences (DSE), which encompasses a number of award-winning travel and leisure businesses, such as Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. We are also focused on a number of emerging technologies, including connected Guest experiences, such as what can be found on the Play Disney Parks app.


Incorporating the objectives of all our Business Units, this role will strategize, write, edit and manage marketing and user experience copy efforts for a number of websites, mobile apps and onsite digital products, while applying aspects of both our design and copywriting style guides.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with internal partners, including content strategists, interaction and visual designers, search analysts, technology teams and legal partners, to cultivate appropriate marketing tactics and storytelling strategies
  • Develop, maintain and follow appropriate style guide rules to target key users, while maintaining digital portfolio consistency
  • Write, edit and maintain copy for various digital experiences and platforms, including websites and mobile apps, to meet targeted business objectives
  • Regularly attend marketing and internal team meetings and reviews
  • Create specific types of content in various forms within established, approved processes


Basic Qualifications


  • Excellent writing skills including impeccable spelling and grammar, with a strong emphasis on the guest experience
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office productivity software, Google Docs, Jira and Slack
  • Minimum 2-5 years industry experience writing online marketing and user experience copy for websites and digital platforms, including apps
  • Writing samples (online editorial portfolio) that establishes versatility—in style, tone and type of material
  • Knowledge of interactive technologies, information architecture and the use of keywords for search engine optimization
  • Ability to think critically and organize information for online and mobile publication
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload, prioritize multiple projects and work well under pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications


  • Writing for social networks and emerging platforms
  • Knowledge of creative development and website production processes
  • Familiarity with the Disney brand and/or leisure and cruises businesses
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Required Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (advertising, writing, media communications, etc.)
