Location: Hercules, CA (can be remote anywhere in CA, NJ, TX, WA, PA)
Pay Rate: $50-65/ HR depending on experience and location
Full Time, 1-year W2 assignment with the potential to extend/ convert to FTE

Our client, a top-five global life science company, is hiring a Copywriter for a remote position in CA, NJ, TX, WA, or PA. As a member of the Clinical Diagnostics Marketing Communications Department's copy team, you will be responsible for copyediting, proofreading, and content strategy for important projects. This includes web programs, social media campaigns, and various marketing campaigns for different business units. You will work closely with MarCom designers and the digital team to develop content strategies and collaborate on drafting and reviewing materials for marketing and corporate customers.
How You'll Make An Impact:
- Assist with light project management tasks when needed.
- Provide insights and expertise in the content review and development process for key web projects.
- Contribute to the development of our social media program by strategizing social media communications, working with and analyzing data and metrics from analytical tools, tracking KPIs, and measuring the success of our social media campaigns. Adjust strategies based on data insights.
- Demonstrate exceptional copywriting and copyediting skills, paying attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation, while adhering to standard editorial, regulatory, legal, and brand guidelines.
- Review content as necessary for all other departmental projects.
What You Bring:
- A confident collaborator who can convey ideas and incorporate feedback to deliver copy that aligns with the marketing strategy.
- Adaptability to working in a dynamic team environment with frequently changing priorities.
- Working knowledge and understanding of marketing principles, including customer personas (targeted audience), the buying/customer journey, customer experience/engagement, KPIs, Calls to Action (CTA), brand voice and tone, unique selling proposition (USP), testing and optimization, etc.
- A Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field.
- Exceptional writing skills with 4-6 years of previous experience in copywriting, editing, proofreading, or related work.
- An independent and quick learner who can effectively and confidently synthesize and communicate marketing, brand, and scientific concepts.
