This is a hybrid role and will have 3 days at the office in Ann Arbor, Michigan and 2 remote days.
Job Purpose:
The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) is currently seeking a Contract Specialist for its Ann Arbor office. NCMS is the nation’s leading technology consortium that accelerates the development and adoption of cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities to drive American competitiveness.
Primary Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for contract admin for NCMS as well as subsidiary business agreements. You will educate and counsel multiple stakeholders on NCMS collaborative methods and policies, as well as regulations applied to federal award contracting and agreements. Tasks will include procurement and review of cost proposals. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex contractual negotiations in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
You must have working knowledge of contract terms and processes, government procurement, related laws and related policies and procedures. It is very helpful if you are away of Uniform Grant Guidelines and/or Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as well as new security requirements specified by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-171 and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
This is a high-visibility, autonomous role; you will work with multiple disciplines in a collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in contracts, grants, and other award administration are required.
You must be a citizen of the United States, have or be eligible for security clearance, and be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 unless legally exempt.
