Position Overview:
Beam Therapeutics seeks a motivated contractor/intern to support our Clinical Bioanalytics and Translational Sciences team. The individual will work on immunogenicity assay development for the Escape program, clinical PD biomarker discovery and assay development for Beam-301 program. This position will work closely with cross functional research and analytical, & clinical teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Clinical pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic and anti-drug antibody assays using different assay platforms such as MSD, ddPCR, Taqman, enzyme activity assay, Flow cytometry, etc.
- Evaluation of technologies, trouble shooting of assays, data analysis and interpretation.
- Learn about clinical bioanalytic regulation requirements.
- Maintain clear notebook and documentation practices.
- Presentation of work in group meetings.
- Facilitate assay development and validation work at CRO.
Qualifications:
- Independently motivated, detail oriented, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with histology is a plus
- Broad understanding of drug discovery and development process and working knowledge of biochemical & molecular biology methods used in drug development.
- Proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis and visualization tools such as GraphPad Prism.
- Experience maintaining a lab notebook and following written protocols with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must have experience with PCR
- BS/MS in with 1+ years experience in a research setting.
- Must be comfortable handling human specimens
- Must have knowledge of flow cytometry, MSD, and enzymatic assays
