Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Continuous Polisher (Swing Shift) to work with our client, an American company that manufactures electronics test and measurement equipment and software. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
Description
The PW polisher will need to perform the following duties to be considered the person should have the following qualifications:

• Ability to set up and operate optical grinding and polishing equipment according to the instructions, including reviewing prints and designing tools.
• The person will need to have experience in changing the pad and maintaining the equipment.
• Adjust tooling and spindles as necessary, perform blocking and unblocking of parts, read drawings to determine specifications, and support daily actives to tidy up the process and clean the workstations.
• Lapping and polishing glasses in several optical configurations and know how to take measurements on metrology systems such as interferometers, profilometers, and microscopes.

Requirements

• High School diploma and 3-5 years of relevant experience grinding and polishing optics
• Able to read, understand and follow written instructions and procedures
• Working with chemicals and solvents
• Good math skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Clean and prepare parts for QC
• Standing for long periods of time
• Following all safety and health regulations
• MUST have experience with Optics Lasers
• We need hard working, reliable employees. Tekberry offers a $100 payment for referrals!
• Experience with CNC Polishing, Peter Wolters and Hoffman
• Perform calculations, quality tests, measurements, and inspections
• Handling of delicate optics
• Decision-making and time management skills Ability to contribute as an individual and as a team member
• Able to polish using pitch laps, working to tolerance 1/10 wave
