Job Description

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will deliver training on Continuous Improvement and/or Project Management principles to enterprise-wide audiences. To help achieve our mission, you will demonstrate superior multitasking and organization skills.

This is a hybrid position, that will require an average of 3 days a week onsite at Inova’s care sites across Northern Virginia, more as on-site projects require.


Job Responsibilities

  • Trains and mentors team members in areas of expertise to spread knowledge.
  • Participates in the development of plans to address project opportunities for improvement at the hospital and unit/department levels.
  • Identifies improvement project opportunities and determines return on investment. Participates in evaluation of projects with members of hospital and support division senior leadership (VP and senior director).
  • Leads cross-functional teams through a methodical process to assess, improve and sustain results.
  • Coaches senior leadership (VP and senior director) in Continuous Improvement fundamentals. Translates Lean toolset (standard work, visual management, rounding and problem solving) for use in units/departments.
  • Delivers training on Continuous Improvement and/or Project Management principles to enterprise-wide audiences.
