Construction Truck Driver Jobs

Knik Construction is seeking a Construction Truck Driver, Davis Bacon Wages – Per Contract.
Responsibilities:
(Other duties may be assigned)

• Secures transportation of material product; this process may involve climbing up and on to the top of tankers, up and onto the deck of a flatbed, onto the flatbed load, securing a tarp for material coverage, and into and out of containers as needed.
• Attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position.
• Be able to verify the type of material hauled and its weight.
• Complies with all company safety policies, including the use of protective equipment and Fit for Work.
• Maintains records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including but not limited to the following: driver’s logs, vehicle inspections, hazardous material manifests, and permits.

Work Requirements:

• Experience driving end dumps, belly dumps, and side dump trucks with aggregate/asphalt hauling is preferred.
• Ability to work in a high-production environment
• Ensures a high level of accuracy
• Demonstrated decision-making skills
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
• Some knowledge of heavy construction equipment
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equal experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Pre-hire drug test
