Construction Supervisor / Manager - Electrical

Responsibilities:

• ·Experience in Utility Construction a must.
• Knowledge of line construction (69kV, 26kV, 13kV, 4kV line construction) required. OH Line Experience preferred.
• Provide daily job site inspection, and ensure completion in accordance with established designs, specifications, and industry standards.
• Provide input to the Project Team to assist with Schedule updates, Budgets, and final In-Service/commissioning.
• Assist Project Controllers in preparation of cost estimates and project schedules at a high level.
• Ability to read and interpret one-lines, circuit maps and construction drawings and Maintain and complete Construction Reports
• Maintain a safe work environment by ensuing safe labor practices.
• Successful candidates will also be involved in Reviewing permits with the Permit Team and explain and handing over to the Construction contractor prior to Mobilization.
• Position is eligible for Straight time OT beyond standard 40 hours per week.
• Candidates will be involved in conducting Initial project site walk through to facilitate input to construction Permits, Construction plans, Job Scope for Civil contractors.
• Support the request for proposals (RFP) process for civil and other discipline contractors.
• Assist in the completion of the project close-out reports.
• Organize the weekly/bi-weekly Construction meetings for Construction progress and look ahead.
• Position requires successful candidate to travel to work site within the state of NJ. Candidate will be eligible for Mileage beyond regular office commute.
• Participate in bid evaluations and the contractor selection process.
• Assist in change order management, RFIs, field work orders etc.
• Review contractor billing and in-service reports
• Ability to submit outage requests if needed

Qualifications:

• Should have proper knowledge to read and adhere to P6 schedules. Knowledge of estimating/budgeting and work forecasting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience on with working within outages and cutovers.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience as a Site Supervisor at major construction sites.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in civil construction for Utility projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experienced in interfacing with contractors, suppliers, Engineers, and other parties as required.
• Experience in managing Crane movements, Rigging and major underground construction and heave equipment foundations preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred. Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Awareness / Knowledge of HSE& Permitting policies, and procedures.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe and satisfactory driver history.
• Permitting experience preferred.
• Construction Experience Preferred.
• Job requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events.
