Job Description
Gunner is a premier home improvement company that has grown exponentially year over year and recently landed #965 of Inc. 5000 fastest growing private companies! Our award winning website allows a consumer to purchase online without the hassle of dealing with a salesperson. As such, we’re rapidly growing and looking for a Junior Construction Estimator based out of our Stamford, CT Headquarters.


The Construction Estimator will be the liaison between the sales team and suppliers. This individual will need to be detail oriented, extremely organized, can-do attitude with eagerness to take on more responsibility.


Gunner provides a paid 2 week training as part of our onboarding process!


Job Duties


  • Manage and track special material orders
  • Takeoffs with material, labor and profit accounted for
  • Utilize HubSpot CRM
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned
  • Proactively reach out to suppliers to minimize cost of goods by creating competitive situations
  • Collaborate with Leadership on process improvements
  • Develop and maintain a cost of goods library
  • Collaborate with accounting to verify material costs and accuracy


Requirements


  • Work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Construction experience, a must
  • Reliable and diligent
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Accurate knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the construction industry
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • Coachable with outstanding communication and listening skills
  • Ability to read building plans and specifications
