Construction Estimator Jobs

Torque Consulting are seeking an experienced construction estimator who will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a reputable Connecticut-based client, specializing in construction projects throughout the Northeast. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods and materials, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.

Role Responsibilities:

• Participate in bid reviews and presentations to potential clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure that estimates are aligned with project budgets and timelines.
• Analyze project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
• Attend project meetings and communicate with clients as needed to clarify project requirements and scope.
• Identify potential cost savings opportunities and value engineering solutions to maximize project profitability.

Candidate Requirements:

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction management or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and Procore.
