LDA Builders, a leader in Custom Home Building and Remodeling, has an immediate opening for a full time experienced “Estimator / Purchaser”, in the greater Cleveland/Akron area.

Do detailed cost breakdowns for New Home and Remodeling projects.Request and obtain quotes from our current and new vendors, for existing and new projects.Work directly with the president, drafting dept. and sales team.Research new products on-line and obtain quotes.Visit active and potential job sites to do field measurements as needed for doing take offs. Get pricing and specification sheets for the sales team to provide to potential customers.Meet with the president and sales team on a regular basis to discuss potential and upcoming projects, cost increases, new products, etc.

Responsibilities include –

• Do detailed cost breakdowns in Excel
• Get costs together for requested change orders during the build process
• After the project is sold and the plans are completed, order necessary materials
• Meet with the sales team to discuss upcoming cost increases, new products, etc.
• Request and obtain quotes from vendors as needed
• Get pricing and specification sheets for the sales team as needed
• Research new products on-line
• Go to construction sites as needed to take accurate field measurements

Qualifications Include -

• Knowledge of QuickBooks and AutoCad a plus
• Knowledge of MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• New home and/or remodeling estimating experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and documents
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize calls and your work load
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
