Role Summary

SunGrid is currently seeking a Construction Coordinator to join our Team. Reporting into the Construction Management team, this position will be responsible to provide support to the team which specializes in engineering, procurement, integration & construction projects in the utility, large commercial and industrial sectors. This position requires a person to work independently from studying & analyzing to designing & installing. The candidate must be able to organize workload and be a part of a team to meet agreed schedules.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain project data including various logs, registers, spreadsheet, etc., as required to manage projects.
  • Assist in the development, negotiation, and award of subcontracts to suppliers of goods and services.
  • Support Process development and Improvement projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Construction.
  • Assist with project weekly and month-end activities and deliverables and generate reports and presentations.
  • Assist with Requests for Information (RFI) and Project Change Order processes utilizing Procore.
  • Assist in the coding and submission of costs, invoices, tracking and status, etc. utilizing Procore.
  • Support Construction Management team with various tasks from Early Customer Engagement (BD Stage), Estimating, Project Management (Project Planning, Budget, Reporting, Construction) through to Project Closeout.
  • Identifying potential issues and risks for projects, and updating project risk registers utilizing Procore
  • Assist project teams by providing data to support stakeholder engagement, both internal and external
  • Other support duties and functions as required based on priorities.
  • Set up and organize internal and external project meetings with vendors/clients, venues, and handle minute-taking at meetings, including follow-up actions.
  • Assist in the creation, updating and maintenance of various documents, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist in the structuring and development of Bill of Materials (BOMs) for projects.
  • Create and maintain vendor, subcontractor logs and registers.
  • Perform stakeholder correspondence and communications and assist the information management and document control team utilizing Procore.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills utilizing Microsoft Suite and Procore
  • Strong organizational and time management skills managing tasks and deliverables.
  • Personal attributes and behaviors essential for this role include being a self-starter, highly motivated, adaptable, honest, and ethical, dependable, and capable of working with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels (written and verbal), follow-up, capable of working each task to the appropriate level of detail, coachable, approachable, and a team player.
