NVIDIA is looking for an excellent Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer for its Autonomous Vehicle teams in Santa Clara, CA, USA. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading, developing and maintaining software for world-class AV perception using synthetic and real data. Work areas will involve simulation, object detection/classification/tracking/prediction, sensor fusion, and domain adaptation to produce high-quality inputs to control vehicles safely and efficiently. The candidate is required to have hands-on experience and deep knowledge in at least one of these areas: computer vision and machine learning. Understanding of deep neural networks, autonomous vehicles, and domain adaptation is highly desirable. You are encouraged to work across people and project boundaries, and among computer vision, computer graphics, and machine learning approaches. You should have strong research, SW development, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Plan and implement perception software for NVIDIA Autonomous Vehicle products.
- Design, execute, test, and maintain system tools for product development and product verification.
- Publish and present novel perception algorithms to internal and external communities.
- Generate synthetic sensor data using simulators.
- Improve existing perception algorithms using the synthetic data.
- Optimize software performance.
- Communicate and collaborate with both internal and external customers.
- Design and implement software for NVIDIA Simulation products.
What we need to see:
- Experience and knowledge on assessing quality of work, metrics, and impact of perception features onto the rest of the autonomous driving SW stack
- Deep understanding of programming languages such as C, C++ and Python. Optionally CUDA.
- Prior experience working on two or more of the following: autonomous vehicles, machine learning, and computer vision.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, as we work as a tightly knit team, always discussing and learning from each other.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- PhD or equivalent experience in EE, CS, or related field. Research or studies specifically in computer vision, simulation, deep learning, transfer learning is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with source control (git, Perforce, etc.)

The base salary range is $176,000 - $333,500. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. You will also be eligible for equity and
