Summary:
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional radiographs of patient’s body for diagnostic purposes; schedules and cares for patients while assisting the radiologist to ensure optimal results.
Starting salary for this position is $75,471 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirements
1. License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York.
2. Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Education and Experience
1. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist; or
2. Equivalent experience gained by the completion of technical training as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, an approved school or training institution may be substituted for the above experience requirement.
NOTES:
1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within ninety (90) days of their appointment to this title.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have at least 1 year CT experience, recent GE scanner experience, their ARRT certification in CT, IV certification, and one year of experience in a hospital setting.
