Job Description
Principal Function: The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for contractor compliance, setup, and overall department support.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:


  • Reviews internal systems and processes and identifies ways to resolve compliance gaps and deficiencies
  • Enters new contractor settlement deductions; assists with new contractor profile setup in designated systems
  • Assures contractor files are accurate and complete and that expiring documents are addressed and are compliant prior to their due dates; tracks contract breaches and escalates matters as applicable
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day interactions with contractors to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
  • May resolve complex contractor relations issues, address grievances, and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • May develop, maintain, and deliver compliance training content and programs
  • Receives and addresses contractor questions regarding contract facilitation procedures and customer service-level agreements
  • Assists with creating and issuing contractor and employee ID badges
  • Assists with implementation of new and updated compliance systems, standards, processes, procedures, and policies
  • Assists with occupational injury/accident enrollment, claims, and reporting
  • Assists with contract terminations including preparing and sending contract termination notices and entering final contractor settlement deductions
  • Manages, records, and enters contractor settlement chargebacks
  • Oversees and manages contractor compliance program and reviews and evaluates compliance issues
  • Informs supervisor of compliance violations as applicable
  • Collects, reviews, manages, and analyzes various sources of data; and develops reports containing findings and recommendations


Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no employee supervisory responsibilities.


Requirements


Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Previous experience working in a compliance or audit role is preferred. Previous experience in the logistics and distribution industry is desired.

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. This role is required to be on-site.


While the offices of NOW Courier are open from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, this job may require work beyond these hours and on the weekends. Occasional travel is required.
