Our Compliance Administrator provides administrative support with the goal of ensuring regulatory compliance on employment-related matters in a multi-state and multi-company environment.


What You'll Do


  • Complete and process Department of Transportation (DOT) previous employer verification inquiries in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Maintain employee testing pools by identifying employees’ qualifications and job position requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective professional relationships with Operations, Safety, Fleet, and HR teams, as well as third-party administrators (TPA).
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned or requested by leadership.
  • Prepare and maintain records including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports regarding compliance activities and communicates with business units/areas as needed.
  • Monitor drug and alcohol testing to ensure that pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return-to-duty, and follow-up tests are performed when required and ensure results are recorded in a timely manner.
  • Partner with business units/areas to ensure DOT new hire processes for previous employer verifications are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with assigning compliance-related training to employees using the Company’s learning management system and monitors the completion of training for employees.
  • Assist with monitoring background check report orders to ensure the proper checks for employees are completed in a timely manner.
  • Identify and escalate non-compliance matters to the Designated Employer Representative (DER).
  • Assist with auditing of records and processes ensuring proper DOT and Company record keeping and file retention guidelines are followed.


What You'll Have


  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2+ years prior administrative experience

Work Environment


  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment


Legal Stuff


  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
