Community Program Assistant Jobs

The Talent Acquisition department hires qualified candidates to fill positions which contribute to the overall strategic success of Howard University. Hiring staff “for fit” makes significant contributions to Howard University’s overall mission.

Organize and catalogue materials for community programs and outreach. Conduct inventory maintenance. Work with external vendors to replenish supplies.

Provide technical and administrative support for research studies including generating new written documents such as letters, brochures, newsletters, graphics, protocol and procedures documents, grant applications, and technical reports

Assist with office support including file review, document management, office and technology set-up.

Organize and participate in meetings with community representatives. Develop agendas, create meeting records and minutes, maintain communications with community representatives be email and phone.

Assist with developing and maintaining social media. Identify and support opportunities for program promotions.

Conduct outreach, educational, and recruitment activities for research studies. Collect research data via semi-structured and structured interviews, self-report questionnaires, and computerized assessments

Provide electronic data management support including computer database development, data entry, computerized database management, and basic statistical reporting
