Role Summary:
The Community Day Porter is a member of the Kiln Community Team and is responsible for the cleanliness of the physical Kiln space.
Goals and Objectives

• Report and help resolve operational issues in a timely, urgent manner
• Personify Kiln’s core values and strive to achieve our mission
• Work cooperatively with Kiln team members
• Ensure site cleanliness so that members have an unparalleled experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Help order cleaning supplies and maintain inventory
• Perform daily cleaning routine as assigned by the Community Director
• Daily tasks include trash removal, cleaning kitchens, washing dishes, restocking kitchen and office supply items, spot cleaning conference rooms and common areas, etc.
• Interact in a courteous and professional manner with all Kiln members
• Respond quickly to ad-hoc janitorial needs as they arise
• Maintain safety in the building by placing signs when necessary for wet floors, etc.

Requirements

• Legal eligibility to work in the United States
• Prior janitorial experience preferred, not required
• Passion and understanding for Kiln’s mission and values
• Morning Shift: 7am-11amAfternoon Shift: 12pm-4pm*Shifts can be adjusted give or take 1 hour based on availability
• Ability to receive verbal and written instructions in English and to communicate verbally in English
• Demonstrates integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, follow-through, and empathy
• Able to work a flexible schedule
