We’re currently hiring for a Communications Specialist, Social Media, to support a cybersecurity focused organization. If you’re passionate about social media, analytics, and the positive impact it can have to solve challenges, we’d love to talk to you. Position can be remote, but U.S. East Coast or Washington D.C. is preferred.

The Work


You will help manage the social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) for a cybersecurity-focused government agency by drafting reports, creating content, and helping to ensure that the social media team is organized and meeting their performance goals. You will work in close coordination with a social media manager to support their short-term and long-lead requests. Experience with an industry leading social media tool, such as Sprout Social or Sprinklr, is a must.


Key Responsibilities


  • Work closely with creative and digital teams
  • Be a creative thinker and problem solver
  • Create social media content, including copy and creative
  • Understand myriad social media platforms and best practices to help account teams grow media channels
  • Manage analytics for clients’ programs and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Keeping social media team organized by leading daily recap for leadership on all social media activity
  • Develop social listening reports and analyze social volume, trends, and conversations
  • Can thrive in a fast-paced environment, and is able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tasks on a day-to-day basis
  • Compile multiple reports for management showing results (ROI, KPIs)


Required Qualifications


  • Experience working in agency or contracting environment with clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience using Sprout Social or another industry-leading social media tool
  • 3+ years of social media experience


Professional Skills


  • Experience developing social media plans and presenting to clients and/or an organization’s leadership Detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
  • Demonstrated experience integrating creative, data/analytics, and/or other client services teams to develop fully integrated, insight-driven campaigns
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Applications
  • Ability to work independently, seek help as needed and contribute to team and company culture
  • Strong writing skills
  • Comfortable working with technology and remote teams

Job Location(s): Position is 90% remote, but must be located in Washington D.C. area to support in-person events upon request.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:


$64,372.00 - $109,432.00
