Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Communications Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the communication efforts of our organization. This role involves assisting with internal and external communications, managing various communication channels, and ensuring consistent and effective messaging. The Communications Assistant will work closely with the Communications Manager to help build and maintain a positive public image for our organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading a variety of communications materials, including press releases, newsletters, website content, and social media posts.
  • Maintain and update the organization's website and social media platforms to ensure accurate and engaging content.
  • Respond to inquiries from the media, partners, and the public in a timely and professional manner.
  • Help organize and execute promotional events, conferences, and other public relations activities.
  • Manage and maintain the organization's media contact database.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and content for communications materials.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, and other content creators to ensure visual and multimedia elements align with messaging.


Qualifications:


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with basic design principles and tools for creating visually appealing content is a plus.
  • Knowledge of media relations and public relations strategies.
  • Proficiency in using various communication platforms and tools, including social media, content management systems, and email marketing software.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and online analytics is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
