Purpose
Under the direction of the Administrator, supervises and provides oversight to CNAs and NAs to maintain the highest degree of quality care for residents, clients and members. This position is Full Time from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday with availability to be on call as needed.


Essential Functions
  • Works collaboratively with the CNA Manager and Client Services Manager to oversee, guide, train and coach CNAs/NAs on a daily basis to ensure care and services are provided with quality and consistency according to service plans.
  • Participates in interviewing panel for CNA and NA positions.
  • Works collaboratively with the CNA Manager and Client Services Manager to orient and on-board CNAs and NAs and provide on the job training.
  • Works in conjunction with the Administrator, CNA Manager and Client Services Manager to ensure that each client has a positive experience and that the direct care team is providing a high level of quality care & service.
  • Works alongside with CNA Manger and Client Services Manager to determine staffing needs in order to meet client, community and day care request.
  • Closely collaborates with CNA Manager and Client Services Manager to monitor, edit, and approve all assigned AHHS Time & Attendance records and leaves of absence requests as necessary.
  • Works with CNA Manager and Client Services Manager to approve and deny leave request of direct reports in accordance with staffing needs and ACS policies.
  • Understands and practices performance management with all direct reports.
  • Stays informed regarding clients’ status and reviews the clients’ schedules/services on a regular basis.
  • Helps to provide quality control measures including pop-in visits with clients and direct reports on a monthly basis and periodic audits of daily documentation performed by direct reports.
  • Co-lead monthly team meetings to inform them of important organization-wide and program specific updates, review current policies and procedures and provide in-service training as needed.
  • Fills in as needed to provide direct assistance and care to clients.
  • Ensures that all client rights and responsibilities are protected and enforced.
  • Ensures departmental compliance with corporate and state safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Performs audits of the wellness screening and EMR charting.
  • Manages and submits all LTC insurance documents for client reimbursement.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of trainings, team meetings, and testing times and locations.
  • Provides support to the Client Services Manager to be in the rotation of the after-hours phone and able to assist with managing client/aides schedules if needed.
Other duties as assigned by the Arcadia Family of Companies.
    Supervisory Responsibilities
    Assists the CNA Manager and Client Services Manager to directly supervise the CNAs and NAs. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employee, planning, assigning and directing work; assist with appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems in collaboration with the Administrator and the AHHS Leadership Team.
    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years Long Term Care experience Certified Nurse Aide experience. 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred.

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

    Current State of Hawaii Certified Nurse Aide certification and State approved training; First Aid/CPR certification.

      • Courteously and professionally works with staff and vendors to resolve problems.
      Analyze problems and develop strategies for resolution.
        Computer Skills
        Proficiency in using a computer including the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and other applicable software applications
