Job Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in providing direct care to patients and assisting healthcare professionals in various medical settings. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients while assisting them with daily activities and addressing their healthcare needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Help patients with mobility, including transferring and repositioning them, using proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
• Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist in the monitoring and management of patient medication, under the supervision of licensed nurses.
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, equipment, and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and comfortable environment.
• Assist in the delivery, transport, and collection of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Adhere to all healthcare standards, protocols, and regulations to ensure the highest quality of care.
• Monitor vital signs, record patient information, and report any changes in health status to the nursing staff.
• Serve meals and assist patients with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Empathy and compassion for patients.
• Physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to follow directions and work within a team.
• Basic understanding of infection control and proper handling of biohazard waste.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Successful completion of a state-approved CNA program and certification.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
