Job Description

Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer

Freelancing position


Job Summary: The Cloud Security Engineer with AWS and Azure expertise is responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud-based infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms. This role involves implementing and maintaining security measures to protect data, applications, and resources in the cloud.


Responsibilities:

  1. Security Architecture: Design and implement secure cloud architectures in both AWS and Azure, including access controls, network configurations, and identity management.
  2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) in both AWS and Azure by implementing and monitoring security controls.
  3. Threat Detection: Deploy monitoring and intrusion detection systems in AWS and Azure to identify and respond to security threats and incidents.
  4. Identity and Access Management (IAM): Manage user access and permissions, enforce authentication policies, and implement role-based access control (RBAC) in both AWS and Azure.
  5. Incident Response: Develop and maintain an incident response plan specific to AWS and Azure, conduct security incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
  6. Automation: Implement security automation and orchestration for tasks like vulnerability scanning and security policy enforcement in both AWS and Azure.
  7. Security Documentation: Maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and configurations for both AWS and Azure.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Skilled with GCP, AWS, Azure cloud platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
