We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and Data skills for an excellent opportunity within our Cloud Services team. The Engineering and Core Services organization is at the heart of innovation at Zions Bancorporation. We continually modernize on many of Zions’ key banking applications and its banking core. In addition to application development, we manage the key platforms, services, and processes which enable modernized engineering and IT operations and delivery through DevOps and lean principles. This Cloud Engineer should have a strong experience using Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform. This person will establish Google Cloud foundations while on-boarding native cloud services to meet infrastructure and project specifications and needs.
The Cloud Engineer will also have the opportunity to:
Contribute to the design and deployment of enterprise-wide scalable, highly available, secure, and reliable platforms and architecture on GCP full-stack
Establish reusable patterns to be used across engineering teams
Collaborate across different areas within business and technology to create a clear and cohesive vision to drive future state Google Cloud Platform
Maintain awareness of industry trends and technologies, recommending timely adjustments to strategies as appropriate
Assist with the development of and management of security & governance processes to ensure that cloud deployments are secure while following industry best practices
Technical Experience and Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant work experience
Strong knowledge of Public Cloud Platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Strong experience using infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform.
Strong knowledge of Linux
Good understanding of Network and Security principles
Experience with Git
Strong experience working with common architecture patterns
Basic knowledge of programming language like Python
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer or equivalent.
A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications

Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000 (Based upon relatable skills/experience)
Location:
This position can be located 100% remote within the continental United States or located at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center.
