  • CloudFormation, ARM template, Python, or PowerShell Git Version Control in DevOps: git best practices, branching, tagging, release management, etc. Containers and Kubernetes Experience deploying to AWS/GCP/Azure Kubernetes as service Deployment using Dockerfiles, Helm charts, Bash, or PowerShell scripting Kubernetes monitoring and logging Experience with datacenter Kubernetes platforms such as PKS and OpenShift Experience building containers with technologies such as Istio and Envoy (plus) Systems Engineering/Administration (5+ years) Linux/Windows administration on virtualized environments (VMware/EC2/etc) Understanding of secrets management, auditing, testing, and monitoring Experience deploying and configuring databases (MySQL, SQL, Oracle) Other Skills Multi-cloud implementation and management solutions (Scalr, Flexera, ServiceNow) Good communication skills and the ability to prepare technical documentation Candidates should be flexible enough to work a diversified schedule at all House data center locations and participate in 24x7 on-call technical support.   • All candidates for this position MUST be US citizens. Gunnison is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to support our US House of Representatives customer. Location : On-site work as required in the DC metro area. The Cloud Engineer will the support the cloud team in the implementation of best practices for cloud infrastructure, DevOps, containerization, and pipelines (including security scanning, testing, and approvals), and work with customer directorates and vendors to help containerize their custom and COTS applications. Other technology and organizational duties as assigned. Required Qualifications : 2-5 years of experience. Hands-on experience with any of the list of technologies below in an enterprise environment: Cloud Operations AWS, Azure, and GCP hands on experience in multiple accounts/subscriptions/projects environment Experience implementing and managing foundational cloud services (e.g. compute, storage, networking, security, databases) in an enterprise environment Cloud security native/3rd party tools and best practice Cloud networking (e.g. VPC, firewall, security groups, VPN, hybrid cloud Direct Connect/Express Route/Interconnect) Cloud resource management automation (e.g. scripting) DevOps Experience with GitLab (preferred)/Jenkins Experience with CI/CD pipelines and best practices Experience writing Terraform HCL infrastructure code Deployment automation
