Job Description
Overview:


Our Client is looking for a highly efficient, detail-oriented candidate who can assist with clinical trials in the field of Gastroenterology, including studies in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Celiac Disease, Colorectal Cancer, and others.


RequirementsThis position calls for a wide range of clinical and administrative responsibilities as outlined below and will be performed under the direct supervision of the Clinical Research Supervisor and Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator.


Basic Requirements


Schedule and prepare for all patient research visits and procedures (may require evening phone calls and texts to remind patients of upcoming appointments)


  • Conduct vital signs and perform blood draws (if qualified), process and ship specimens per study protocol and IATA regulations (training provided)
  • Assist with meeting organization and taking meeting minutes
  • Maintain inventory of study supplies to ensure adequate materials are available for all study visits
  • Discuss study protocols with patients and obtain informed consent
  • Provide subject education on an ongoing basis throughout their participation in studies
  • Review patient medical history against inclusion/exclusion criteria of studies
  • May assist with specimen collection during endoscopy procedures
  • Complete and maintain accurate, legible, and complete patient documentation
  • Assist with data entry and address data inconsistencies as identified by study sponsors

  • Must possess the ability, knowledge, and skill to establish priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate independently
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, (CTMS and EMR knowledge desirable)
  • Research experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, a flexible, collaborative, and team-oriented approach to problem-solving, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
