Job Profile Summary: Coordinate and supervise clinical training. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate staff education and training. This includes orientation, preceptor development, staff development, and competency assessment.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Design and develop educational curriculum, tools, and materials.
  • Identify staff learning needs.
  • May assist in planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating patient care activities and management activities.
    • May contribute to coaching and performance management.
    • May develop training tools for process improvement initiatives.
    • May participate in candidate interviews.
    • May evaluate performance related to clinical quality goals.
    • May conduct or observe safety drills to evaluate staff preparedness and address gaps.
  • Provide preceptor training, ongoing education and support.
  • Participate with leaders in continuous improvement activities.
    • Develop tools.
    • Facilitate huddles and other communication venues.
    • Facilitate data collection.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Maintain records of staff education.
    • Ensure that staff have education which meets regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate student clinical experiences.
    • May coordinate "skills day" or other education events.
    • May conduct orientation for new providers.
  • Facilitate huddles and other communication venues.

Job Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required for Minnesota practice settings upon hire or
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required American Heart Association or Allina Health. upon hire
  • Bachelor's degree Nursing preferred
  • 2 to 5 years in clinical experience required and
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required for primary assigned Wisconsin practice settings (River Falls, WI) upon hire and
  • Less than 2 years in teaching / facilitation experience preferred
