Regions Hospital is seeking a clinical pharmacist to assure safe, rational and cost-effective drug therapy for patients in the Emergency Department. Pharmacists provide professional pharmaceutical services by reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications and related supplies, monitoring patient medication therapies, providing drug information to healthcare providers, overseeing the work of direct support personnel, and performing related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota.
- Three years of current work experience equivalent to a residency experience with direct patient care, preferably in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine.
- At least one of the following:
- Completion of a Post-Doctorate Pharmacy Program in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care (i.e., residency or fellowship such as a PGY-1 or PGY-2 ASHP-accredited pharmacy program) OR
- Three years of current work experience equivalent to a residency experience with direct patient care, preferably in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine.
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
- Completion of a Post-Doctorate Pharmacy Program in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care (i.e., residency or fellowship such as a PGY-1 or PGY-2 ASHP-accredited pharmacy program) OR
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board certification in Pharmacotherapy or Critical Care (or eligibility to become certified).
Additional Information:
This is a union 0.9625 FTE (77 hours per pay period) overnight shift position, 7 on/7 off, including every other weekend working in St. Paul, MN. The full salary range for this position is $67.88-$77.30 per hour, based on experience. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
