Job Description
At Devoted Health, we’re on a mission to dramatically improve the health and well-being of older Americans by caring for every person like family. That’s why we’re gathering a whole bunch of smart, big-hearted people to create a new kind of all-in-one healthcare company — one that combines compassion, health insurance, clinical care, and technology. We want to throw the long ball with people we love for a cause we believe in. Life is short. Join us.
A bit more about this role:
This position represents an amazing opportunity for an ambitious pharmacist leader ready to take on a leadership role in developing colleagues and improving the effectiveness of our clinical teams. As a Manager, you will be responsible for clinical and operational oversight of a team of Clinical Pharmacists and Clinical Pharmacy Services within Devoted Medical. This position will also have direct clinical responsibilities in caring for our patients. On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with the pharmacists on your team, others in the clinical leadership team, Medical Directors, and cross functionally with multiple Devoted teams. This is an amazing opportunity for professional growth within the organization. You will report directly to the Head of Clinical Pharmacy.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Meet one on one at least every 2 weeks and as needed with team providers to coach and performance manage
  • First level resource for procedural and process guidance for your team
  • Schedule and run pharmacist department meetings as assigned
  • Consistent coaching and feedback to all members of your team
  • Reviewing and acting on productivity data using data tools
  • Close collaboration with the Head of Clinical Pharmacy, Director of Clinical Pharmacy Operations, and other clinical leaders within the organization
  • General oversight of clinical performance for the pharmacists on your team

  • Weekly coordination with Clinical Pharmacy Operations on alignment of KPIs and progression towards them
Your duties will be a combination of Managerial and Clinical. These will be done in collaboration with the Head of Clinical Pharmacy. The amount of time spent on each will vary based on current Devoted Medical priorities, new team members in orientation, performance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and PTO.

  • This role will be focused on supporting teams and markets in the 9:00am - 5:00pm Central, Mountain, and Pacific timezones.
  • You’re wired for learning and change, not being afraid to fail.
  • Agility and collaboration are critical to your success - we are a new organization and have a start-up mentality. You share your thoughts often, even though the answer isn’t clear.
