Clinical Manager


Department: Sales and Nursing


Reports to: Vice President of Sales


General Purpose


A Clinical Manager will be responsible for managing clinical specialists, managing the onboarding of customers, end users, and continuing product training for internal staff or external staff along with the clinical team.


Main Job Tasks And Responsibilities


  • Recruit, hire and coordinate the training of new staff members.
  • Act as a liaison between distributors, patients, and additional care staff
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures function in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Manage and monitor Clinical Specialists productivity and ensure time management is maximized to support customers, sales team, and patients.
  • Plan and manage the department budget and approve payroll
  • Manage staff by assigning and delegating tasks as needed
  • Manage onboarding of end users - Ensure all onboarding for new customers (external) and new hires (internal) is completed by self or delegate to team member.
  • Perform quarterly and annual employee reviews and provide constructive feedback on their performance to help them meet professional goals
  • Design and implement business strategies to help the clinical team meet organizational goals
  • Provide product support - Ensure continued training for all customers is supported. Long Term Care, acute, distributors, and home care patients, when needed.
  • Develop protocols and procedures to improve staff productivity


Education And Experience


  • Must be customer service oriented and prepared to liaise with distributors, customers, patients, and other care providers
  • Analytical thinking skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement when making decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management, leadership, interpersonal skills and conflict resolution to be able to handle this job effectively.
  • 2 plus years’ experience in wound care
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, clinical administration, and health care administration.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to delegate tasks as needed


Working Condition


The Clinical Manager works the usual 40-hour work week. They stay mostly inside an office of the medical facility that they supervise. They need to coordinate with several staff to make sure that the operation goes smoothly. Expect to interact with staff to provide activities related to work such as conducting meetings as well as workshops.
