About This Role:


We're looking for a self-motivated and innovative individual to serve as Product Development and Clinical Laboratory Technologist of a growing patient testing laboratory (High Complexity, Infectious disease, Hematology (preventive care testing) and Chemistry).


This is a part-time role.


What You'll Do:


  • Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications;
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
  • Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed;
  • Perform clinical testing as needed. Follow the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results;
  • Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problems or immediately notify the technical supervisor;
  • Understand and adheres to HIPAA policies, procedures, and regulations to assure patient confidentiality;
  • Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens;
  • Under direction of the Technical Supervisor, perform assay development and validation;
Required Qualifications:


  • Knowledge and experience maintaining HIPAA regulations
  • Knowledge of all applicable state and federal regulations
  • Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft office, Laboratory information systems
  • Ability to work with diverse groups
Key Experience & Education We're Looking For:


  • B.S. degree in lab science
  • Two years of experience in assay development and validation;
  • One year conducting highly complexity laboratory testing
