Job Description

Parity Analyst 1


The Parity Analyst serves as the analyst for MHPAEA Non qualitative treatment limit (NQTL) projects.


You will provide project status/meeting minutes, prepare data requests, facilitate data collection, data review, prepare gap analysis (PPT) results summary. Other responsibilities include managing communication with vendors and internally to support project completion.


Lastly, you will review vendor responses and compile NQTL findings, highlight potential gaps in compliance, map to existing processes on Med/Surg coverage.


Compensation: $42/hr.

Shift: Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm

Duration: 3 Months with possible hire or extension

Location: Remote


Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with health management senior reviewer to conduct follow up calls/emails with carriers/vendors as needed for clarification and submission of additional documents
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate efforts of colleagues
  • Support the overall completion of the NQTL component of the report
  • Participation in weekly or bi-weekly project status calls as needed
  • Monitor carrier and vendor responsiveness to questionnaires
  • Complete initial review of carrier responses for parity projects
  • Maintain materials/documentation in a manner consistent with WTW work processes and peer review standards
  • Manage NQTL portion of parity assessment
  • Draft gap analysis based on documents reviewed


Education / Experience:

  • Understanding of health plan utilization/case management processes, network management and pharmacy prior-authorization processes
  • Problem solver and independent worker
  • Basic understanding of Mental Health Parity NQTLs
  • Analytic approach to review and analysis
  • Strong project management skills
  • Sense of accountability and ownership
  • Critical thinking
  • Health plan background
  • Self- starter attitude and ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Understanding of utilization, case and disease management processes (e.g., prior authorization, concurrent review)
  • Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Power Point and document management (SharePoint, TCT)
  • Ability to ask the right questions and seek help where appropriate, from colleagues and clients.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 1-2 years’ experience dealing with health and welfare plans, ideally gained in a benefit
  • Strong project management skills
