Cleaning Team Member - Part Time

General Description: The Cleaning Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment for members of our staff at the Ellsworth (up to 3 days per week) This position will focus cleaning efforts on the common areas (stairs, break rooms, bathrooms) and office areas. This position must practice safety in all aspects of the job.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Clean and supply restrooms.
• All other cleaning tasks as directed by management.
• Organize janitorial storage areas.
• Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies.
• Sweep and mop 3 floors of steps.
• Remove waste and empty trash.
• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance.
• Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.

Requirements:

Required (Basic) Education / Experience/ Competencies and Other Skills:

• Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations.
• Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.
• Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally.
• Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repetitively.

Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.

Pass a drug & alcohol screen as well as a general background check.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, flexible schedule, no weekends or Holidays.

Hourly.

Work Environment:

Food plant environment. Must adhere to all food and plant safety policies and regulations.

Work with chemicals for cleaning purposes.

Atmosphere may be humid, hot, and is dependent on weather.
