POSITION PURPOSE


Credo is hiring a Clean Standard Manager to join the Sustainability & Impact team. The Credo Clean Standard™ is retail’s strongest safety and sustainability policy; all brands that sell at Credo must comply with the Standard’s many tenants, including restricted substances, packaging sustainability goals, and claim substantiation. The Clean Standard criteria are based on the latest scientific research, regulatory updates, industry landscape and supplier best practices.


The Manager will be responsible for leading The Credo Clean Standard™ compliance work with our 100+ brand partners. This role entails both broad and deep communication with our external compliance database developers and managers, Credo’s internal teams, and cosmetic brands.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Foster relationships and consult with our brand partners as they move through the compliance process
  • Provide regular status reports to internal teams
  • Review/identify ingredient and product safety and sustainability data and supply chain concerns so Credo remains ahead of regulatory and market-based changes
  • Collaboratively develop strategies to create ownership, accountability, and follow-through from brands
  • Work with database developers to optimize performance based off of brand feedback, contribute to the the maintenance, improvement and oversight of the proprietary database and understand database manager’s data security and backup
  • Use our internal data to identify and take ownership of areas of potential risk and new opportunities to move the supply chain in a better direction
  • Partner closely internally & externally to triage and prioritize database problems and solutions
  • Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with partners and internal teams to maintain our industry-leading standard, and follow-through by activating the necessary change management
  • Leading, tracking, and auditing compliance with The Credo Clean Standard™ via our proprietary database which beauty brands use to illustrate they’ve met our criteria
  • Follow and report on novel database technologies


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience communicating effectively with diverse range of stakeholders (chemists, data scientists, brand marketers, cross-departmental team members, leadership team)
  • A solid understanding of CPG supply chain dynamics, experience reviewing/auditing documentation from suppliers
  • Experience evaluating, defining and improving end-to-end processes and managing multiple projects and coordinating with internal staff and external groups, vendors and other stakeholders
  • A plus: experience implementing supplier engagement programs, traceability/sourcing programs
  • Ability to work with variety of external groups (e.g., brands) and deadlines
  • 5+ years of work experience, ideally with 3+ years managing regulatory, certification or other relevant programs
  • Deep interest in safety, sustainability and ethical procurement
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

BASE PAY


$80,000-$90,000 for work locations in the United States, with individual pay determined by several factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, and training. Salary ranges are determined in good faith by role, level, and location.


BONUS


Additional compensation includes an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
