We have a Class A Driver opening in Jonesboro, GA for New CDL Graduates that have received their CDL License. We want the right driver to join us at Ryder.
6-9 Months Experience ask about our Extended Driver Development Program!
We have developed proficiency-based training with experienced facilitators. Drivers will receive 8 weeks of training focusing on all backing, close quarter maneuvers, practice doing short and longer runs and get paid while doing so. Gain hands-on experience from the finest instructors in the industry.

Ryder Employees who Drive on this account earn $800-$900/week during training and it gets better
- Start Time: 12pm - 5am
- Paid Training
- Weekly Guarantee $800 per week during weeks 1 - 4
- Schedule: Monday – Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
- Per Diem Pay: $25.62 per night with 2-3 nights per week
- Solo Stops Pay: $22.13 per Stop
- Weekly Guarantee $900 per week during weeks 5 - 8
- Once training is over driver will average $1450/week

- Pass a Ryder road test
- Follow written and/or oral instructions
- Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Follow written and/or oral instructions
- Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
- 9 months or less of CDL driving experience
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A
- Ability to:
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight
