Summary


Position Purpose:


In the role as a Claims Clerk I, the ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and responsible for screening, coding, and keying claims in claims system. One will also be responsible for ensuring claims are processed in a timely manner and have the ability to work from excel spreadsheets getting statuses on claims.

Logistics


This position is full-time position (40 hours per week) Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00 pm onsite to 1000 Executive Center Drive, Greenville, SC 29616


What You’ll Do


  • Correct keying errors as noted by system edits
  • Accurately use medical review forms and all available reference materials
  • Screen, code, and key claims to ensure proper and accurate adjudication of claims in accordance with departmental standards for quality and production, contract regulations, policies, and guidelines


To Qualify For This Position, You’ll Need


  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Standard office equipment
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


We Prefer That You Have


  • Intermediate in word processing, spreadsheet application, and database software
  • Ability to accurately key 5000 ksph or 30 wpm
