Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will provide assistance to EO’s Childcare Business Development program in order to ensure effective execution of project activities and accomplishment of project goals and mission, to include a combination of administrative, assessment, and client-facing activities. This project is part of Economic Opportunity (EO). Mission-driven, EO employs strengths-based programming. This position will work alongside the EO Micro-Enterprise and Finance project. EO is committed to professional development opportunities for staff, and all are encouraged to identify their own strengths and interests in tailoring responsibilities accordingly, in line with program goals.

This project is successful if we are able to ensure a target number of clients open their businesses each year, and each entrepreneur is provided the tools and resources to navigate systems and tools on their own, build a revenue generating business, and report satisfaction with EO services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Update existing and create new documents and spreadsheets with high level of precision;
  • Attend and participate in meetings
  • Accurate, timely input of client and project data between electronic and hand-written formats;
  • Schedule and recruit interpreters for client meetings;
  • Schedule client meetings and trainings;
  • Arranging for translators when interpretation services are needed
  • Collaborate with the EO Education Lead to ensure clients attend classes that help with financial literacy and business development
  • Develop and implement client and project assessment tools that will maximize RCBD’s effectiveness in achieving project objectives;
  • Create training curriculum and deliver classes to clients;
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Continually seek efficiencies and utilize the most effective, streamlined tools and processes available to EO;
  • Responsible for providing accurate and timely reports to funder (quarterly)
  • Develop and maintain organized client and project records, enroll and track progress of RCBD clients in hardcopy form and in software programs and platforms;
  • Work with clients to navigate the processes required for becoming licensed Home Childcare Providers

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to learn new software applications with minimal oversight;
  • Completion of criminal history background check post offer of employment.
  • Enthusiasm and ability to adapt based on needs of diverse clientele;
  • Personal qualities of integrity, reliability, creativity and adaptability;
  • Comfortable working with other cultures and the refugee population
  • Ability to problem-solve and initiate solutions and improvements with minimal oversight;
  • Excellent computer skills using programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required;
  • Knowledge of project management software like Smartsheet is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education, professional, and lived experience.

THE OFFICE AND OTHER WORKING REQUIREMENTS

Work environment

General, shared office with a hybrid in-office and work-from-home schedule. You will have access to a shared office space and will be closely connected to a supportive team regardless of where you are physically located. Must be an Idaho resident for work-from-home hybrid options.

Physical requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, driving, repeated hand and wrist motions (for computer use) are required, as well as the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. You must be able to tolerate heat and cold, and to drive to client and community partner businesses in varied weather conditions.

Other requirements

You will need reliable transportation, and if an offer is extended, you will be asked to demonstrate a valid driver’s license, a copy of State-mandated liability insurance, and complete a criminal history background check.
