Job Description

For more than forty years, the physicians at Premier Bone & Joint Centers have been dedicated to delivering quality patient care to the people of Wyoming. PBJC is searching for a health care operations executive to serve as the Chief Operating Officer of the practice and ambulatory surgery center. The ideal candidate will have a strong visionary mind, strategic operational background, and proven leadership abilities.

Our client is an 8 physician, sub-specialized orthopaedic group with 10 office locations in and around Wyoming and neighboring states (Casper, Cheyenne, Gillette, Laramie, Rawlins, Riverton, Rock Springs, Torrington, Thermopolis, Worland). The practice has a strong market position and reputation and is recognized as a leader in the delivery of musculoskeletal care. In addition to comprehensive orthopaedic and ancillary services, the practice also owns a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center on their Laramie campus.

Premier Bone & Joint Centers has been a trusted provider of orthopedic care in the region. Every physician at Premier Bone & Joint is fellowship trained and the group serves as the team doctors for the University of Wyoming Athletics

Chief Operations Officer direct responsibilities include:

· Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met

· Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention

· Direct implementation and operation of both internal and external business units to include DME, MRI, Physical Therapy, and the Ambulatory Surgery Center.

· Interface with physicians to assist with governance, management, and change management.

· Represent PBJC with referral sources, physicians, and the community.

· Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels

· Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning and to ensure financial performance goals are met.

· Coordinate operational activities across outside PBJC business units including ASC’s, hospitals, post-acute care partners, urgent care centers.

· Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary

The ideal candidate will have a strong strategic, financial, and operational background and proven leadership abilities. An advanced degree in health care administration or business administration is desired, as well as five years of executive-level experience. A track record successfully managing a large and complex medical practice is essential, as is possession of the leadership skills to guide and motivate members of the staff. Strong leaders with high-level communication and leadership skills are encouraged to apply. Excellent salary and benefits, as well as a relocation package will be offered.
