Job Description
Our client in the capital market in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced Chief of Derivatives for their growing organization. The role is reporting to the CEO directly and it is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and the full relocation package will be provided for the interested candidates.


The position will manage all aspects related to the launch and subsequent operation of the derivatives market to achieve the organization's targets, strategy, vision, and mission within the agreed strategic directions, and performance plans.


Job Requirements


  • Lead the design market and products
  • Analyze the structure of the exchange-traded derivative products
  • Lead market intelligence and analytics
  • Building and managing the derivatives business plan and internal department alignment
  • Research and identify the relevant underlying products
  • Create a competitive pricing structure for different classes of traders to boost liquidity and volumes
  • Identify and strategize opportunities and counter competition in terms of derivative products and services
  • Reviewing and assessing sales strategies related to current and potential products and services in an effort to gauge marketability and total demand
  • Research and identify benchmarks for global investors and traders
  • Monitor the demography of institutional traders in the markets in terms of nationality, classes and contribution
  • Monitor the growth in the volume and open interest of the derivatives market and adopt strategies to address any issues
  • On-going in-depth analysis and study of the market appetite and need for the products, domestically and globally


Candidate Requirements


  • Senior-level experience in the financial services industry in a similar role, with experience in derivatives and liability-driven investment management.
  • A bachelor's degree in their respective field is required, a Master's or Ph.D. degree is preferred.
  • Required key competencies: Executive experience, strong communication, strong negotiation skills, advanced knowledge of business partnerships, strong financial education, knowledge of local and regional markets' history and companies
