As a core member of inMusic’s executive team, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will serve as inMusic’s principal architect in developing and executing marketing strategy in support of the strategic direction of the company. The Chief Marketing Officer develops and manages all marketing operations to ensure the success of inMusic’s global marketing strategy. The CMO will be responsible for a team of enthusiastic marketing professionals, ensuring their growth and success within the company. Additionally, the CMO shows a passion for marketing music products and have a breadth of knowledge of all things marketing. The CMO can balance a practical mindset with creative business acumen to lead people through complex marketing operations.


In this role you will:


  • Build and manage a solid network of strategic marketing partnerships with brands, affiliates, and retailers.
  • “Listen” to the trends of the market and direct the market research efforts of the company.
  • Design and coordinate marketing campaigns, public relations and other marketing efforts across channels (digital, press, channel marketing, etc.).
  • Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product marketing, branding, communications, etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voices”.
  • Liaise with other departments (product development, sales, e-commerce, customer service, and supply chain) to guide a unified approach to customer service, distribution etc. that meets market demands.
  • Define marketing strategies to support the company’s overall strategies and objectives.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the CEO and members of the executive leadership team, as a strategic business advisor for the leadership of each business unit regarding key responsibilities that affect the marketing arm of the organization.
  • Develop feasible marketing plans and oversee day-to-day implementation of those plans.
  • Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals.


Requirements


  • A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
  • Proven experience as chief marketing officer or similar role, ideally within a high-tech music industry
  • Understanding of different business disciplines
  • BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, communications, or relevant field. MSc/MA in business administration, marketing, or communications a plus
  • Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g., social media) and non-digital (e.g., press) channels
  • Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office and business software such a CRM, project management software, etc.
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
  • Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods.
