Chief Financial Officer – Manufacturing

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer based in Grand Rapids, MI. As the CFO and a key member of our leadership team, you will use your strong financial, analytical, strategic planning, operational and communication skills in setting and monitoring corporate direction and performance, while directly overseeing the accounting, finance and purchasing functions. The CFO will set a standard for financial and operational excellence, as well as assist and collaborate with leaders across the company in financial analysis and understanding.
Ridgeview Industries is a leading West Michigan based supplier of metal stampings, weldments and assemblies primarily serving the automotive market. Our privately held company, founded upon Christian principles, currently employs approximately 600 team members across our 4 plant locations.
Qualified candidates will have proven and demonstrated success and possess the following skills and qualifications:
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight of the accounting, finance and purchasing functions.
  • Oversee efforts of financial forecasting, annual budgeting and capacity/capital planning.
  • Direct accounting policies, procedures and internal controls while ensuring the integrity of all financial information and reporting.
  • Build and mentor your team, and empower them with the leadership and resources needed to successfully complete initiatives.
  • Identify, propose and oversee activities to drive intentional, incremental and sustainable improvements company wide.
  • Work closely with the executive leadership team to shape and communicate corporate vision and strategy to all stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with external professionals for accounting, banking and investments, insurance, legal and employee benefit plans.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and its trends, challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead and motivate a team, and communicate effectively at all levels including the Board of Directors.
  • A servant leadership style that aligns with our Mission Statement and Guiding Principles.
  • Experience with ESOP owned companies is a plus.
  • Knowledge, experience and proven capability in all aspects of financial management and GAAP.
  • Ability to think strategically, identify risks and opportunities, and make informed recommendations and decisions based upon sound business judgement and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, extreme attention to detail, with strong operations acumen and experience.
  • 10-15 years of experience in advancing financial leadership positions within the automotive industry.
