Our Company:
Ozark Recovery Housing LLC was founded in 2019, owned and operated by medical professionals who provide respite housing and recovery services in the Kansas City area to men and women who are affected by substance use disorder. We have four housing facilities, two men, one women’s, and a combined outpatient treatment/men’s respite housing facility. We are a for-profit, NARR certified and Department of Mental Health credentialed organization.
This Position:
We are interested in a Certified Peer Support Specialist in our respite recovery homes to help provide day-to--day oversight and provide overall accountability for clients. This position is a combination of providing recovery support services and housing supervision. This role would be a shared role with another Certified Peer Support Specialist.
Responsibilities Include:
* Using a peer-to-peer approach to build a rapport with clients
* Providing emotional and informational support to clients as they work towards their goals
* Sharing and supporting the use of recovery tools and modeling successful recovery behaviors
* Helping individuals recognize their capacity for resilience
* Helping individuals to connect with other housing clients and with their community at large
* Helping individuals who have substance use disorders and mental illness develop a network for information and support
* Assisting individuals to make independent choices and to take a proactive role in their recovery
* Assisting individuals with identifying strengths and personal resources to aid in their recovery and helping individuals set and achieve recovery goals
* Daily walk through of houses to assess housing environment cleanliness and hygiene, assess status of bed logs.
* Responsible for the “make ready” process for incoming clients and supervising house manager clean out of discharges, documentation of damages/missing items on discharge.
* Responsible for supervising house manager packing and securing client items upon discharge—responsible for communicating storage arrangements to clients.
* Responsible for performing and documenting UAs of clients
* Assist team with admissions and intake processes
* Assist team with Transporting clients on outings, to appointments, meetings, treatment etc when necessary.
* Assist staff with other projects as they arise.
* Provide structure for weekly groups and house meetings as needed.
* Responsible for preparing orders, inventory and organization of meals for the Respite Program
* Works closely with the Director of Recovery Support Services and Lead Peer Support to create structure and recovery programming for all facilities.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma/GED
* Must have a valid driver’s license and a favorable recent driving record.
* Must be a Certified Missouri Peer Specialist

Pay: $17.00 - $18.75 per hour
