Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is currently accepting applications for full-time Health Care Technician's (CNA's).

This posting is for multiple vacancies. The advertised position number may be for recruiting purposes only.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Other duties as delegated by and completed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Providing ongoing observation, interaction and feedback to residents
  • Reporting concerns and recommendations to appropriate professional program staff
  • Obtaining vital signs
  • Training and assisting patients with activities of daily living

THIS POSITION IS DESIGNATED MANDATORY AND MUST REPORT OR STAY OVER DURING ADVERSE WEATHER EVENTS OR OTHER EMERGENCIES.

Flexibility is required for training and education purposes and to meet the needs of the facility.

Shift preferences will be discussed in the interview and will depend on staffing needs. In addition to our standard work schedules listed below, flexible schedules may be available.

Standard Work Schedule Shift Premium
1st shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM 5% Weekend
2nd shift: 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM 20% Weekday & 25% Weekend
3rd shift: 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM 20% Weekday & 25% Weekend

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies


The Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities and the Minimum Education & Experience Requirements are REQUIRED to qualify for this position.

MANAGEMENT PREFERENCES:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Special Condition(s) for Continued Employment:

  • As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation

ELIGIBILITY FOR SIGN-ON BONUS

Qualified applicants must be selected from the candidate pool of this posting and meet the State policy following requirements:

A newly hired permanent full time or permanent part-time employee who works 30 to 40 hours per week is eligible for a sign-on bonus (this will be prorated for employees working less than 40 hours per week).

An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:
  • Or DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
  • The employee has held a position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date);
  • The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency;
This Sign-on Bonus is contingent upon budget and final eligibility determination as of the effective date of hire.
