RHA is Looking for a Certified Medication Technician to Join our Team!!!!

Payrate: $16.00

Job Responsibilities include:

• Keeps nursing staff informed of any changes in the service users’ status.
• Performs CNA Responsibilities- Observes service users’ needs and reports as needed. Participates in the Quality Assurance Assessment system; Mealtime Assessment, Environmental Assessment; Interaction Assessment and Third Shift Assessment as instructed.
• Assists Nursing Staff with Various Tasks-
• Works directly under the supervision of the nursing staff performing Nursing Board approved assistant duties.
• Keeps Director of Nursing and/or Charge Nurse/Team Leader informed of any difficulties in performing duties.

The following tasks may be completed if appropriate delegation and criteria by the registered nurse and Board of Nursing has been met:

• Irrigation, Apply ace bandages, ties and binders. Apply and remove EKG monitor leads
• Clamps feeding tubes.
• Other duties including: Range of Motion, Enemas, Inserts rectal tubes, Heights and Weights, Break up and removal of fecal impactions, Apply hypothermia unit, Oxygen therapy-observation and maintenance, Finger sticks for blood glucose testing.
• Assembles and flushes tubing during set up.
• Performs sterile dressing changes for wounds over 48 hours old and follow principles of sterile techniques at all times.
• Performs catheter tubing irrigation.
• Performs urinary catheterization.
• Administers gastrostomy feedings/flushes.
• Performs ostomy care on established ostomies.
• Adds enteral feeds to existing infusions.
• Observes infusion flow rates.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Oral/nasogastric feedings.
