Greets and welcomes patients. Escorts patients to exam rooms. Collects and documents patient information, clinical data, and other relevant information such as vital signs, height/weight, allergies, active medication list, chief complaint, pain score, current symptoms, and registry updates. Confirms and clarifies orders prior to implementation of delegated tasks. Prepares, administers, and documents oral and injectable medications and vaccines, per provider orders. May not give IM RhoGam or IM Narcotics. Collects, prepares, and processes laboratory specimens for testing. Performs, prepares for, and assists with taking x-rays, based on competency Performs, prepares for, and assists with in-office procedures such as EKGs. Schedules procedures, referrals, and specialty services and testing. Maintains and uses principles of aseptic techniques and infection control when performing clinical duties and tasks. Provides and reinforces appropriate age-specific patient education, health information materials, and community resources, as directed. Identifies patient\'s need for additional information and refers to RN. Performs time-sensitive delegated tasks, which includes, but not limited to, requests for prescription refills per protocols and EHR messages. Works with healthcare team to assure smooth and efficient patient flow and clinical operation. Orders, stocks, and maintains exam rooms, special order items, and supply storage areas using par levels of supplies, medications, linens, forms, and equipment. Monitors expiration dates and takes action accordingly. Recognizes usage trends affecting unit supplies and makes recommendations for adjustments. Maintains OMC organization and nursing competencies pertinent to area of practice. Manages information in accordance with state and federal regulations. Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice and demonstrated competency Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing Current Minnesota LPN license required BLS certification Previous wound care experience preferred Job Responsibilities: Conducts a focused assessment of the health status of an individual patient through the collection and comparison of data to normal findings and the individual patient\'s current health status. Reports changes in health status and responses to interventions in an ongoing manner to a registered nurse or the appropriate licensed healthcare provider for delegated or assigned tasks. Participates with other healthcare providers in the development and modification of a plan of care. Determines and implements appropriate interventions within a nursing plan of care or when delegated or assigned by a registered nurse. Implements interventions that are delegated, ordered, or prescribed by a licensed health care provider. Assigns nursing activities or tasks to other licensed practical nurses. Assigns and monitors nursing tasks or ac ivities to unlicensed assistive personnel. Provides safe and effective nursing care delivery. Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment. Advocates for the best interest of the patient. Assists in the evaluation of responses to interventions. Collaborates and communicates with other healthcare providers. Provides healthcare information to individual patients. Provides input into the development of policies and procedures. Is accountable for the quality of care delivered, recognizing the limits of knowledge and experience; addressing situations beyond the nurse\'s competency; and performing to the level of education, knowledge, and skill ordinarily expected of an individual who has completed an approved practical nursing education program. Maintains OMC Organization Competencies and Nursing Competencies pertinent to area of practice. Manages information in accordance with State, Federal, and Industry Partner Standards and Regulations. Attend an approved Undersea Hyperbarics Medical Society course. Communicates effectively. Other duties as assigned. Cast Technician Qualifications: High School graduate Completion of Orthopedic/Cast Technician program or related healthcare experience BLS certification Previous clinic experience preferred Excellent communication skills Job Responsibilities: Application, adjustment, and removal of various orthopedic devices. Wound care and dressing changes utilizing aseptic technique. Suture and staple removal. Assists with surgical procedures as directed by clinician. Communicates wound/skin/physiological conditions to clinician. Patient education regarding cast care, wound care, swelling, and use of splint/cast. Rooms patients. Patient intake data collection. Checks and records patient vital signs. Charts documentation. Telephone recording and reporting of conditions to clinician. Patient referrals, internal and external. Manages supplies and equipment in department; reorders according to department use. Maintenance reporting. Adheres to safety policies. Other duties as assigned. Clinical Athletic Trainer Qualifications: Master\'s degree in Athletic Training or related field required Current board certification BLS certification NAOT OTC certification preferred 1s Assist certification preferred Minimum one to three years experience in the field of sports medicine/clinical athletic trainer role Job Responsibilities: Reviews charts and ancillary testing under the guidance of overseeing clinician. Takes patient history and performs physical exam according to the individual clinician preferences and organizational guidelines. Reviews history with new patients to ensure it is complete; update patient history on return patients. Orders appropriate imaging, physical therapy, and school notes per physician direction. Accompanies clinician during the patient visit according to their direction and take appropriate notes. Assists with patient education and follow-up. Completes documentation for patient visit. Represents OMC as an educator, professional in the community, and at conferences. Applies casting and splinting materials as needed. Aligns the needs to the organization with the services. Stays current with sports medicine practices. Uses various equipment including, but not limited to, hot/cold modalities, ultrasound, electrical stimulation as well as other equipment prescribed.
