Job Description
SEI Investments is a global asset management firm with over $410 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2023. There is an immediate opening for a highly motivated, results and detail oriented Centers of Influence Sales Director for our North American Institutional team. The role will be a part of the Institutional Sales team and report directly to the Head of North American Sales. There is flexibility in the location for the role with Chicago, IL and Oaks, PA (corporate headquarters) as primary options.


As a Centers of Influence Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive business growth through centers of influence within the institutional investor market. Your primary focus will be on engaging and cultivating relationships with key individuals and organizations that will potentially partner with SEI as an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO). By leveraging these centers of influence, you will generate leads, increase brand awareness, and drive sales for our OCIO services. This role requires a proactive and dynamic individual with excellent communication, networking, and sales skills.


The role will be working with both internal constituents across SEI as well as external organizations that have influence on decision making for institutional investors. Managing relationships with SEI’s internal Investment Advisory team, external advisor clients, OCIO search consultants as and traditional consultants are all part of the distribution channels that will be the focus.

What you will do:


  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations with centers of influence to enhance market reach and revenue growth.
  • Build and nurture relationships with centers of influence, including investment advisors, OCIO search consultants, and traditional investment consultants.
  • Generate qualified leads and referrals for SEI's OCIO services through collaboration with centers of influence.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive centers of influence strategy, targeting key influencers, organizations, and associations within the institutional investor market.
  • Provide sales support, sharing market intelligence and best practices to enhance sales efforts.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of centers of influence activities, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Attend industry conferences and events, proactively engaging with target individuals and organizations to expand SEI's presence and professional network.


What we need from you:


  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple agendas and achieve results.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the institutional investor market.
  • Strong network and relationships with key centers of influence, including investment advisors, OCIO search consultants, and traditional investment consultants.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track and measure the effectiveness of centers of influence activities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Willingness to travel (40-65% travel required).
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market trends and industry dynamics within the institutional investor space.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, business development, or relationship management roles within the institutional investor market.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
