Job Description
This recruitment will be used to fill four part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week during the school term and a maximum of 40 hours per week during term breaks) Assistant Video Lecture Editor positions for Ecampus at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Assistant Video Lecture Editor at Oregon State Ecampus edits and produces lecture videos for online students under the guidance of Ecampus Video and Multimedia producers for OSU teaching faculty in order to advance the reputation of OSU and to create video for online students.

This position reports to the Multimedia Project Manager within OSU Ecampus. OSU Ecampus is comprised of Ecampus (online education), the Ecampus Research Unit, and Open Oregon State (online resources). It is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization with a commitment to providing access to Oregon State University’s programs of excellence.
The anticipated hourly pay rate is $16.00
Position Duties
  • Editing: video and audio editing with Camtasia or Premiere, YouTube captioning, motion graphics or on-screen titles
  • Office work: transcribing videos, file transfers, team communications

  • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
  • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
  • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
  • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
  • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment

  • International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
