Job Description
ABOUT US:

HGreg is one of the fastest growing automotive groups in North America. Founded in 1993, HGreg operates 31 new and used dealerships throughout the United States and Canada, and plans to continue expansion in the U.S.

SUMMARY:
The Service Cashier is largely in charge of accepting cash from clients and staff in exchange for goods and services, and accurately recording the amount received. This person must represent the dealership in a polite, professional manner because they may be the customer's last point of contact with the dealership.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Attend training classes as directed by management
  • Provide the customer with the proper charges
  • Ensure that customer's complaints are handled promptly, with genuine concern and according to dealership guidelines
  • Complete the accounting section of the Repair Order as directed
  • Take the initiative to exceed customer satisfaction, even if it requires overcoming obstacles
  • File Repair Orders as directed by the Service Department
  • Total the retail parts, fluids and labor charges to calculate a total for each category
  • Calculate the material charge applicable for each Repair Order
  • Collect the total retail charges from customer
  • Handle and account for daily cash in and out of the assigned register
  • Provide prompt, efficient and quality service to the customers and dealership
  • Calculate and enter applicable warranty charges
  • Maintain the effective labor rate control forms as directed by management
  • Monitor the cash flow of Service and Parts Departments
  • Answer customer's questions pertaining to the invoice with honesty and integrity
  • Ensure all invoice totals and receipts are accurate
  • Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the dealership, employees or the customers
  • Handle phone calls and assist customers
  • Provide the proper change and receipts to the customer
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customers
  • Update the customer's service history file according to the procedures specified
SCHEDULE:

  • 2 days off/week
  • 8-hour shift including weekends


EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
  • Must be a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity
  • Ability to collaborate with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time
  • One year of experience in an auto repair facility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with other dealership personnel
