Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for Carpenters/Laborers in the Knoxville Metropolitan Area, with Whitson Construction Co., Inc. The Carpenters/Laborers will be responsible for assisting with various tasks such as framing walls, installing windows, setting doors and frames, installing hardware, installing millwork, and other general carpentry and labor duties. Candidates must be able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time, and work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools
• Prior experience in carpentry and/or construction is preffered
• Ability to follow safety protocols and adhere to building codes and regulations
• Certification or training in carpentry and/or construction is a plus, but not required
• Basic math skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work at heights if needed
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to measure and cut materials with precision
