Capital Projects Director Jobs

The Capital Projects Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing all aspects of Bethel’s capital projects and construction initiatives. This role involves managing multiple projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The Capital Projects Director collaborates with stakeholders, leads and manages a team of construction professionals including the Bethel construction and Capital Projects team, and ensures the achievement of organizational objectives. They will ensure projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with style, quality standards and regulatory requirements. The Director of Capital Projects plays a critical role in optimizing office utilization, ensuring efficient allocation of space, and facilitating a productive work environment.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform space planning decisions
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Interior Design, or a related field. Three to five years relevant experience can also qualify and will also be considered
• Proficient in project management software and tools
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively - Strong team management skills
• Proven experience (5+ years) in office space planning, workplace strategy, or facilities management
• Proven experience in construction project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving project goals
• In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations, and standards
• Knowledge of office design principles, furniture selection, and workplace optimization strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees, stakeholders, and external vendors. - Familiarity with safety and accessibility regulations related to office spaces. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
